Our farm, The Cria Barn at Cranberry Creek is situated in Northwestern Ohio, along the meandering Cranberry Creek. Since the beginning of our farm in 1996, our herd has grown and so has our love and knowledge of alpacas. We truly enjoy our alpacas and are excited about sharing information with established breeders and are anxious to introduce prospective owners to the industry.
We use a "hands on" approach and spend quite a bit of time with our alpacas. Consequently, our animals feel very comfortable with people, and are easy to halter, lead and manage. We are constantly improving our breeding program. We strive to provide the most desirable animal by carefully selecting herdsires and breeding females for their genetic diversity, sound conformation, superior fiber characteristics, unique color, and gentle disposition. We achieve this goal by breeding our females to some of the top herdsires in the country, and of course, by breeding to our own wonderful selection of herdsires - Nic Nac, Dust Buster, Patagonia's Cortez, Victor's Vaccoyo, Accoyo Avalanche, and our ten time champion - Peruvian Zephyrus. Zephyrus babies are now arriving - WOW! You have to come to see the crimp! The head! We are very excited about these babies!
